Big Plans For Route 67 In Oxford: Report

Officials believe the plans will help support local businesses.

OXFORD, CT — Town officials say they want to spruce up Route 67 and are working to secure more grants and private donations to help pay for the work, the Republican-American reports.

Oxford has already secured up to $2 million for a bridge replacement project on Dutton Road, which will include a pedestrian walking bridge, and officials want to add more sidewalks, benches, crosswalks and even a nature preserve on adjacent open space, the Rep-Am reports.

Local officials believe the plans would be a boon for businesses.
