OXFORD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Roger Williams University
Roger Williams University is proud to announce that Brianna Hoffner, of Oxford CT, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Psychology in May as part of the Class of 2018.

University of Scranton in PA
Alexa N. Casablanca of Oxford was among more than 1,650 students named to The University of Scranton's Dean's List for the 2018 spring semester. The Dean's List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the Dean's List.
Casablanca is a senior biology major in the University's College of Arts and Sciences.

Marist College in New York

The following local students have been named to the Marist College Dean's List for the Spring 2018 semester:

Daniel Arrato of Oxford, CT is a member of the Class of 2019 and is majoring in Criminal Justice.
Timothy Gavaletz of Oxford, CT is a member of the Class of 2021 and is majoring in Accounting.

University of Alabama President’s List

Rebecca Lynn Buswell of Oxford, CT (06478), was named to The University of Alabama President's List for spring 2018. A total of 11,347 students enrolled during the 2018 spring semester at UA were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students.

Rochester Institute of Technology in New York
Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Rochester Institute of Technology's Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
