Community of Oxford Greens offers scholarship

Residents at Oxford Greens to Award Oxford Greens Community Scholarships.

Residents of Oxford Greens will again be awarding scholarships to seniors at Oxford High School who plan to attend accredited institutions of higher learning in the fall of 2017. The scholarships are known as Oxford Greens Community Scholarships. This is the eighth year residents of Oxford Greens have provided scholarships to Oxford High seniors. Over the pasts seven years Oxford Greens residents have provided over $43,700.00 in scholarships to 32 graduating Oxford High School seniors. Oxford High School seniors are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

Each scholarship, will be awarded based on academic excellence, school involvement, and community service.

Students applying must fill out an application, write an essay, and supply the necessary recommendations and transcripts.

The scholarship committee collects private donations from Oxford Greens residents and when the final amounts are established, decides how many scholarships to offer and what the amount of each scholarship will be.

Announcement of the winning students will be made at the OHS Awards Night Ceremony, Wednesday, May 17, 2017, where a representative from the Oxford Greens Scholarship Committee will present the scholarship awards.
