Connecticut DCF Vows Changes After Infant Deaths

Five children who were placed with families involved with DCF have been killed this year.

Of the 10 children up to age 3 who were murdered this year five of them lived with families involved with the state Department of Children and Families, the Associated Press reports.

DCF has vowed to help prevent fatalities by expanding its work with child abuse experts to help detect early signs that a child is being abused after suffering an injury, the AP reports.

DCF is also launching a public awareness campaign to prevent infant deaths by educating parents on how to better keep them safe, the AP reports.
