The CT Choral Society invites you to sing/hear Verdi's Requiem at a summer sing event

Here's YOUR chance to sing Verdi's Requiem with a high caliber choral group - or you can come simply to listen!

Whether you’re a singer (who wants to get your vocal cords back in shape for the fall concert season), or simply a lover of great music, you’re invited to come to the Connecticut Choral Society’s summer sing event featuring Verdi’s monumental Requiem on Monday, August 31st, 7:30 pm at Valley Presbyterian Church (21 W Whisconier Road, Brookfield). Registration begins at 7:00 pm.

This is an opportunity to learn the background of Verdi’s capstone piece, to sing the choral sections, and to experience the rehearsal techniques of a high-caliber choral ensemble. You’ll meet our conductor Maestro Eric Knapp and fellow singers, hear the exciting news of our 2015/2016 season, and schedule an audition, if you want to join us in the fall. Non-singers are welcome to sit back and enjoy the music. All you need is a love of choral music and a willingness to have some fun in a relaxed informal environment against the backdrop of a summer evening.

In April 2015, the Connecticut Choral Society (CCS), in conjunction with the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, presented Verdi’s Requiem to sell-out audiences at two concerts at the Fine Arts Center of Naugatuck Community College in Waterbury. CCS has been named one of the top five vocal ensembles in the state.
