"OXFORD, CT — Some new details came up at a recent Board of Selectmen meeting concerning the town of Oxford and the much-discussed power plant.
Resident Matt Caruso asked several questions to the selectmen and noted that a CPV lobbyist was indicted on bribery charges in New York. You can read that story here.

First Selectman George R. Temple said, according to meeting minutes, that he never worked with the individual in question. He stressed that his local contact from CPV was always "straight-forward" and "very professional," meeting minutes stated.
Temple also said he's never heard from law enforcement concerning the issue.

Caruso also asked about where the town is at in securing a tax agreement with CPV for the power plant and Temple said it's still being worked on and there is still no agreement in place.

Town residents rejected a revised tax agreement earlier this year. Numerous residents oppose the power plant expressing health and safety concerns but the project has been approved by the Connecticut Siting Council.
The revised tax agreement, which was defeated by residents in February would have led to a $112 million tax stabilization agreement over the life of the agreement".
