DJ LUCO will set the beat at the Oxford Spring Fair
The Oxford Spring Fair is Sat May 4 at Oxford Town Hall
The Oxford Spring Fair is coming up in a few weeks, so we will try and feature as many of our vendors and volunteers as possible!
With a short planning cycle for this first inaugural event, we had planned to setup a speaker and simply run a play list for some background music. In a fortuitous event, we learned of a local DJ, Lucas Rosa, who was just starting his business. Eager to help any budding entrepreneur in our local area, we asked Lucas if he would be willing to pick up the beat for us at our May 4 event and it was a date he had free, so we booked him!
We were eager to learn more about Lucas, and how he got started in this business, so we did mini interview with him below:

Oxford Cultural Arts: So Lucas, how did you get started in this line of business?
Lucas: I kicked off my DJing journey in 2021, following five years of dancing and two years of musical theater at SSOPA (Southbury School of Performing Arts).

Oxford Cultural Arts: How did you get so much experience in such a short period of time?
Lucas: Seeking to level up, I joined The Station Dance Academy and began apprenticing under the wing of Leon Henderson, aka Cooleon, soaking up his wealth of experience.
Oxford Cultural Arts: Do you plan to continue this as a career? It must be fun to do something you love every day
Lucas: As I dive deeper into the DJ scene, I've launched DJ LUCO LLC and ventured into the entrepreneurial world. My love for spinning tracks grows by the day, and I'm pumped to keep rocking the decks, making events epic with my beats for years to come.

The Oxford Spring Fair is organized by the Oxford Cultural Arts Commission. Our mission is to promote and preserve culture and the arts in Oxford. The fair will be hosted annually the first Saturday of May (Saturday May 4, 2024) from 10am - 2pm at the Oxford Town Hall, 486 Oxford Rd. Oxford, CT 06478
