Addiction Can Happen To Anyone At Anytime!
The forum will discuss the prescription drug and heroin epidemic that is deciminating communities across the nation and here in our own backyard. This community discussion will provide an overview of the scope of the problem in the Oxford area and focuses on prevention, treatment, and recovery. The audience will be made up of community residents.
It will be held at the Oxford Town Hall on Thursday, May 19 at 7 pm.

CEO Recovery Network of Programs, Oxford Ambulance Director Jerry Schwab, State Police Sgt Semosky, Chief Probation Officer Erin Nolan and State Prosecutor Paul Gaetano from Derby, Demian Fontanella Office of Healthcare Advocate, Frank Diaferio pharmacist and narcan prescriber, VSAAC director Pam Mautte, a young man in recovery, and a woman who coordinates a support group for loved ones of addicts. Rich Flynn, police captain Arlington MA will speak on the PAARI {police assisted addiction and recovery initiative} which has been very successful in getting addicts into treatment with no cost to taxpayers. Following the panel there will be a question/discussion session with the audience.
