Elderly Residents Concerned Over Broken Lift, Bedbugs at Oxford Housing Complex

Residents of an​ Oxford elderly housing complex are concerned about issues involving bedbugs and a lift that has not worked since March.

OXFORD, CT - Residents of Crestview Ridge have been complaining lately about a number of issues with conditions at the elderly housing complex , the Republican-American reported. These complaints were aired to town selectmen at a recent housing authority meeting.

Residents shared their concerns over the complex's management at the Oxford Housing Authority meeting Friday, according to the Republican American. Among complaints brought up was that of an old and broken lift, which residents said has been inoperable since March 30. (To sign up for Oxford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Aside from the aging lift, residents also complained of issues regarding bedbugs, the Republican American reported. Housing Authority Chairman Bill Burns told residents at the meeting that the bedbug problem had already been addressed and steps were being taken by the authority to replace the lift.
