Ethics Committee: No Violations In Oxford Budget Meeting

The town's annual budget meeting was moderated by former first selectman Kathy Johnson.

OXFORD, CT — The town Ethics Committee found that former first selectman Kathy Johnsondidn't violate town ethic rules when she suppressed a motion to reduce salaries of the town's selectmen.

Johnson was acting as moderator of the town's annual budget meeting, according to the Republican-American.

The committee found she didn't violate three of four charges that were alleged by two people at the meeting, according to meeting minutes. The committee went into executive session to discuss the matter and then voted 6-0 to find that three parts of the town ethics code weren't violated.
