ABOUT BOATING SAFELY / 8HRS/ USCG AUX - Oxford, CT.

Ahoy all you water and boat lovers! Flotilla 24-12 is now offering for the 2012 boating season a fundamental 8hr class that meets the requirement for the ST of CT Safe Boating and Certificate of Persoanl Watercraft Operation certificates.  This class is divided into seven distinct segments pertaining to the safe operation and safety equipment required by both federal and state law. We cover introduction to boats; Things to be aware of prior to getting underway; Navigating the waterways; Operating your vessel safely; The legal requirements of boating and Water sports associated with boating. We're excited to be able to offer these classes to the local community but most of all we look forward to seeing familiar faces again and again over the months ahead.
