The Golf Club at Oxford Greens to Host Woodland Invitational for Local High Schools

(OXFORD, CT) – The Golf Club at Oxford Greens –
managed by Billy Casper Golf – will host the Woodland Invitational for area high schools on Thursday, May 2.


The 18-hole, four-person stroke-play
tournament will be contested among 76 golfers from 19 high schools. The competition is open to individuals and to boys and girls teams. Awards will be presented to the winning and runner-up teams as well as individual medalist, runner-up and third-place finisher.


Participating schools include Sacred Heart,
Holy Cross, Naugatuck, Torrington, Shepaug Valley, Watertown, Weston, Nonnewaug, Platt Tech, Litchfield, Lewis Mills, Wolcott, Bethel, Northwestern,
Pomperaug, Housatonic Valley, Tomaston/Wamogo, Maloney and Woodland.

“It’s an honor Oxford Greens was selected to
stage the event,” says Steve Landi, General Manager of The Golf Club at Oxford Greens. “The course is in excellent condition and will provide a tough, but fair test for the high school golfers.”
