Barn Destroyed in Brush Fire in Oxford: UPDATE
Firefighters were able to rescue a rabbit and administered oxygen to the animal.
OXFORD, CT - Oxford Fire Rescue was dispatched in the area of Shelton road for reported brush fire Wednesday morning.
Fire officials said in a social media post that a brush fire extended to a barn that was housing tools, lawn tractors, gasoline/propane and ammunition.
The shed also housed chickens and a rabbit. Firefighters caught the rabbit and placed it into a cage and administered oxygen, the fire officials said.

The barn was a total loss. Tankers from Seymour and Southbury were called to the scene. Beacon Falls covered the town.
