Firemen's Carnival This Week

Quaker Farms Fire Company, located at 403 Quaker farms Road in Oxford, will host the annual Quaker Farms Fire Department Carnival at Quaker Farms School, 30 Great Oak Road, Oxford, this week. The operation hours are 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

Carnival goes can ride all rides all night long for $20.

Two free carnival shows nightly featuring the Amazing Slavek Comedy Trampoline Chair Act. Along with Bucky and Gigi clown act from Naugatuck. Also performing will be Professor Brent Dewitt.

On Wednesday at 9:45 p.m., the firefighters will light up the sky with the first town wide firework display of the week with a rain date of Thursday. On Friday, there will be a second town-wide firework display at 9:45 p.m., with a rain date of Saturday.

Both of the firework displays are held at the Great Oak softball fields on Great Oak Road, Oxford.
