Friends of the Library in Oxford and Oxford Historical Society Team Up For Special Program

The local groups will cooperate in presenting a story-tellers program for adults on Nov. 12.

From Oxford Historical Society: Two local organizations - Friends of the Library in Oxford and the Oxford Historical Society - have received support from the Connecticut Community Foundation for a special program in November.

The local groups will cooperate in presenting a story-tellers program for adults on Sunday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church, Quaker Farms. The program is one of the programs offered by The Connecticut Storytelling Center, based at Connecticut College in New London.

Two story-tellers will be featured. Jeanne Donato will engage attendees with "The Connecticut/Rhode Island Border War." Arnie Pritchard will tell "This Business of Fighting: A Human Face on World Ward II", based on war-time letters written by his father.
