'A Genuine Good Young Man, With A Big Heart': Oxford Star Student
We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Oxford.

OXFORD, CT —Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Carol Delfino who nominated her grandson, Matthew, an Oxford High School senior.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Matthew earned his Eagle Scout Award on April 24th, and will receive his Eagle Scout Award on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Eagle Court of Honor. He is a member of the National Honor Society. He has been a member of Link Crew 4 years. He is a member of the Oxford High School Swim Team. Matthew is a member of the Youth Conversation Corp.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
He loves God, country and his family. He does the best in everything he is presented with.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Matthew!
