High School Student Becomes a Published Author at 17!
A teenager fulfills her dream of becoming an author!
A student who is a Senior at Ansonia High School recently published her first book. Catherine Ashelford has wanted to be an author and began writing books and short stories at 12 years old. Instead of coming home from school and watching TV or playing games, “Caity” would write books, short stories and screen plays after she did her homework and daily chores. Although she completed her first book last year, Caity decided not to publish it because it “wasn’t up to her standards.” Instead, she did a lot of research and continued working on another book. After many re-writes and editing sessions, ”Glamour” (the name of the book) was published in late August of this year. Caity’s “pen” name is CAITY ROSE. A copy of the front cover of the book and the Author bio are included with this article. The book is available on Amazon.com in both Kindle version and in paperback.
Caity has many other projects and ideas in the works and her next book will hopefully be complete by the end of this year. What an accomplishment for someone so young!
