Hiring of New Zoning Official on Agenda for this Week's Board of Selectmen Meeting

The decision to hire a new zoning official has been previously delayed twice.

The hiring of a new zoning official is on the agenda for Wednesday’s Board of Selectmen meeting, the Republican-American reports.

The Board of Selectmen previously delayed the decision on the hiring of a new zoning official at their Oct. 1 meeting, saying they further wanted to review the application pool.

First Selectman George R. Temple cancelled a special meeting last week, where the board intended to hire a new zoning official.

The position, which has been vacant since August, needs to be filled to manage three major projects coming to Oxford, the Oxford Towne Center, the CPV Towantic Energy Center and the Masonicare Assisted Living Facility.
