How Many People Voted in Oxford on Election Day?

During the 2015 municipal elections in Connecticut 594,922 out of 1,844,674 registered voters actually went to the polls on Election Day.

That represents just 32.25 percent of the state’s registered voters.

There were a handful of communities that broke 50 percent including Prospect, 58.7 percent, Norfolk, 55.58 percent, Morris, 54.6 percent, Hampton, 54 percent, Derby, 53.3 percent, Cornwall, 53 percent, Sherman, 50.79 percent and Pomfret with 50 percent.

On the other side of the equation the lowest percentage includes: Sterling, 7.5 percent, Burlington, 15.8 percent, New Haven, 18.5 percent, Brooklyn, 19 percent, Torrington, 19.15 percent, Canaan, 19.76 percent, Stamford, 20 percent.

Locally, in Oxford 48.36 percent of registered voters cast their ballots, which represents 3,888 out of 8,039 people.
