Man Tried to Break Into Oxford Business Via Drive-Thru Window

State Police are searching for suspect and have released photos and a description.

Oxford, CT - The Oxford Resident Trooper’s Office and Oxford Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at the Double R Inc. Mobil Convenience Store located at 1 Oxford Road.
Oxford officers are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

On June 25 at 1:31 a.m. officers from Oxford Police responded to a reported burglar alarm at the Double R. Inc. Mobil Convenience Store.

Upon his arrival officers found damage, consistent with the use of a prying-type tool, to the drive-thru window, State Police said. Officers searched the area but did not locate any suspects.

Video surveillance footage revealed the suspect was a white male, with a dark beard wearing a dark color baseball hat, dark color t-shirt, light color shorts, white socks, and low hiker/work boot-type shoes. The suspect also had a white piece of clothing/fabric around his neck.

The suspect appeared to have walked from the Seymour town line, across Mountain Road towards the Double R Inc. Mobil Convenience Store before attempting to enter the convenience store through the drive-thru window, State Police said.
