9/11 ceremony in Oxford

A 9/11 ceremony will be held at noon on Thursday, Sept, 9 at Oxford Town Hall. The public is invited to attend. Town officials decided to hold the event on Thursday so employees can also attend. Sept. 11 is on a Saturday.

Masks update

First Selectman George R. Temple indicated at the Board of Selectmen meeting held on Sept. 1 that he has no plans of changing the mask policies currently in place, via meeting minutes. If you can show proof of vaccination, you do not need to wear your mask, otherwise, you must wear your mask. He said there is an uptick recently in COVID-19 positive tests.

Temple said school children must wear masks, as that is mandated by the state. Temple added that it's vital to listen to the experts in the health field.
