Milford Police Arrest Oxford Woman for Drug Possession
A K-9 officer assisted in the search for drugs.

Two Connecticut residents were arrested Friday evening by the Milford Police Department on drug-related charges.
Hilary Desiderato, 27, of Oxford, and Justine Gettig, 28, of Waterbury, were both charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said the two were spotted acting suspiciously in a car located in a parking lot near an area where the department’s narcotics and vice unit was conducting a “criminal interdiction patrol.”

Desiderato and Gettig allegedly admitted that they had been using heroin prior to being approached by police.
Canine Officer Cedar was used to sniff the car they were in, and police said, several packets of heroin and related drug paraphernalia were found.

Desiderato and Gettig were released on a promise to appear in court Sept. 8.
