More Money Needed For Oxford Schools, Some Officials Say
The Board of Education recently discussed the budget process and shared some concerns.

OXFORD, CT — Just like the sun rising and setting each day, the Oxford Public Schools know all they can get for a budget increase is somewhere between a 1.6 and 2.2 percent annual hike.
During a wide-ranging discussion at a recent Board of Education meeting members bemoaned the fiscal limitations of being able to really move the district forward, according to the Republican-American.
School officials say they need to convice Board of Finance members to invest more in education. School board members said they need parents to advocate for more money from the Finance Board.
