Naugatuck Police: Oxford Woman Stole Jewels and Coins, and Pawned the Items

Police say the alleged theft occurred on Osborn Road.

An Oxford woman is accused of stealing jewels and coins from a Naugatuck family member’s house, and allegedly pawning the stolen items at local pawn shops, Naugatuck police say.

Police say Ashley Duquette, 23, of Oxford Road, was arrested on a warrant Sunday for an incident that occurred on Feb. 20.

On that date, Naugatuck police responded to Osborn Road on a larceny complaint.

The homeowner told police they noticed that some coins and jewelry were stolen from the house, and suspected a family member may have been responsible, police said.

Police checked local pawn shops and found several of the stolen items, and they were able to recover them, police said.

Police say Duquette allegedly pawned the stolen items, and she was charged with fourth-degree larceny.
