New Oxford Budget Referendum Date Selected: Report

A planned budget referendum was scrapped last week due to a tornado and the destruction it left behind.

OXFORD, CT — A tornado and its ensuing damage resulted in the postponement of a planned budget referendum last week, and the Republican-American reports that the new referendum date is expected for June 7 at Quaker Farms School. Voting will occur from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The $48.3 million budget proposal would result in a tax increase of just under 4 percent.
