News Brief: Vandals Destroy Mailboxes in Oxford
Seven mailboxes smashed on Towantic Hill Road; police look for public's assistance.

Police are asking for the public to help track down vandals who have struck in Oxford once again.
The latest vandalism spree occurred on the overnight hours of St. Patrick's Day, March 17, when seven mailboxes were busted on Towantic Hill Road, according to a police report.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Oxford Resident Trooper's Office at 203.888.4353. All tips will be kept confidential.

Vandals don't strike in Oxford on a regular basis, but every so often police see a spree of this type of activity, usually is when the weather is nice like it has been recently. Oftentimes, the vandals are caught, especially when the public assists police.
A couple weeks ago, someone tore up an athletic field at , causing some $200 in damage. Police are also seeking leads in that case.
