The Nine Mile Players are excited to announce
our new youth theater program, The Nine Mile Player Kids and Juniors!
We are offering a 6 week theatrical workshop for 4-5 graders and 6-8th graders beginning April 22nd. Students will learn the many aspects of theater including audition techniques, costuming and set design. The workshop will conclude with a student-developed performance.

From audition techniques, to set and program design...you will get hands on experience while working and starring in this show. The workshop will culminate with a free performance for family and friends!

Enter into the world of make-believe, a place where toys learn to be good toys... at ’Toy Camp.’ Ted E. Bear, Princess Ann, Glow Toy and others have come to Toy Camp to hopefully graduate and earn their price tags to be sold at toy stores. Not graduating from Toy Camp means certain doom at the Toy Dump!
Week 1-Audition Techniques/Resume Writing
Week 2-Auditions/Script Read-Thru
Week 3-Set Design/Props/Blocking
Week 4-Costuming /Hair/Make-Up
Week 5-Program Design/Publicity
Week 6-Tech Week/Final Performance
Theater workshops will be held at Center School Oxford, CT and are open to students in neighboring towns as well as Oxford students. Cost is $50.00 for the six week program.
Time: Tuesdays and Thursday from 6:30pm—8:30 pm (Beginning April 22nd)
Final Performance will be Friday May 30th at Oxford Center School.
