Obituary: Alan David Stewart, Sr., 66
Mr. Stewart owned an Oxford business for many years until his retirement and still has family in town.

Alan David Stewart Sr., age 66 of Fairfield passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the husband of 30 years to Ellen Chapman Silkoff Stewart.
Born in Derby on Feb. 17, 1947, he was a son of the late David Stewart and Harriett (Ruth) Walmsley. Al was the owner of ALS Rental in Oxford for many years until his retirement. He had a great love for the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing and loved all his "toys." In addition to his devoted wife Ellen he is survived by his eight loving sons; Kurt, Aaron, Brett, Alan Jr., and Roth Stewart, Michael, Paul, and Joel Silkoff and his daughter Rebecca Jackson. He is also survived by his brother Gary, his sister Brenda, nine grandchildren and his nephew David.
A service in his memory will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at the Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church, 1089 Fairfield Woods Road, Fairfield at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Kun Sam Cho officiating. There will be no prior calling and the burial will be private.
