Obituary: Carl Pudim, 82, of Oxford
Mr. Pudim was an Army veteran of World War II and the owner of Edward Service Center for more than 60 years.

Mr. Carl Pudim, age 82, beloved companion of Violet “Bunny” Vakousky of Oxford and formerly of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital.
He was born on May 24, 1930, in Derby and was the son of the late Edward and Theresa (Cripps) Pudim. Mr. Pudim was a proud U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was the owner of Edward Service Center in Seymour for more than 60 years. Mr. Pudim was a member of the Valley Chamber of Commerce. He was also a pilot and enjoyed flying.
In addition to his devoted companion, Mr. Pudim leaves his sister, Dorothy Violet Brown and her husband, Bucky of Seymour, Violet’s children, Bridget Romagna and her husband Todd of Oxford and their children, Brittney & Joey Romagna and Laura Crane and her husband Jeff of Morris and their children, Carley and Chad Crane and several nieces and nephews. His sister, Margaret “Marge” Hull predeceased him.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 27 at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. Interment to follow with Military Honors at Trinity Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon prior to the service.
