Obituary: Charles Gorman Adams, 93, of Oxford

Mr. Adams was a U.S. Navy veteran who proudly served his country.

Mr. Charles Gorman Adams, age 93, of Oxford, beloved husband of 52 years to the late Marion (Stevens) Adams, entered into peaceful rest on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital.

He was born on May 10, 1919 in Ansonia and was the son of the late Louis and Florence (Gorman) Adams. Mr. Adams is a U. S. Navy Veteran and proudly serving on the USS Biscayne during WWII and returned for the Korean Conflict. He was a machinist at American Brass in Ansonia for over 40 years before his retirement.

Mr. Adams is survived by his step grandson Christopher. His stepson, Glenn Sherwood Whitehill predeceased him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 3 at noon at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. Interment with Military Honors to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oxford.
