Obituary: Graceann Hess, 60, of Oxford

Graceann Hess, age 60 of Oxford, passed away peacefully on April 15th, 2012, at Danbury Hospital after a short illness. Graceann was born on August 30, 1951, in NYC, NY, to parents Frank and Grace (Gioia) Curzio. 

Graceann worked for Union Carbide, Eveready Battery and the Taft School. She excelled at work and was highly appreciated by her co-workers, many who became lifelong friends. Graceann was enjoying retirement with her loving husband and two Labradors. She loved making great tasting meals and sharing them with family and friends. 

Graceann is survived by her husband Robert Hess and his children Sue Wolford, Katy Vidmer, Bob Hess and Mary Weaver and grandchildren Tyler and Brian Wolford. She is also survived by her sister Francine, husband John and nieces Gillan, Ella and Brooke Sulinski. Graceann was loved and will be missed by many, many family and special friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Oxford with a reception to follow. There are no calling hours.
