Obituary: Harrison "Babe" Katrenya, 75
His hobbies included woodworking and scrollwork, he also liked feeding the birds.

Harrison D. "Babe" Katrenya, age 75 a lifelong Oxford resident entered into peaceful rest March 15, 2013 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby. He was the son of the late John, Sr. and Antoinette (Dytko) Katrenya. Mr. Katrenya was retired from the Kerite Co. Seymour, and also from the former Dworkin Chevrolet in Derby. Babe was a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Oxford; he was an avid gardener and enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting and fishing; his hobbies included woodworking and scrollwork, he also liked feeding the birds.
Mr. Katrenya leaves his loving family including a brother, John Katrenya, Jr. of Oxford, four nephews, Andrew Katrenya of Naugatuck, Richard Katrenya and Alan Katrenya both of Oxford, and Kevin Katrenya of Seymour, and 10 grand-nieces and nephews. His brothers, Andrew Katrenya, Sr., and Stephen Urick, predeceased him.

Calling Hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Ralph E Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
