Obituary: John F. McWilliams, 62, of Oxford

BEACON FALLS - John F. McWilliams, 62, departed this life on April 27, 2019 at his home. John was born in Bridgeport, CT on May 4, 1956 to the late Alexander and Catherine (Hummel) McWilliams.

John was an avid gardener and enjoyed sailing, golfing, and mostly being a grandpa. He was a kind, generous man whose friendships spanned decades. John is survived by his daughter, Alexandra McClure and her husband Marcus of St. Louis, MO, grandsons Oliver and Elliot McClure, his sister Cathleen Cohen and her late husband Howard of Oxford, niece Melissa Dorazio and her husband Richard (daughter Ella) of Prospect, and niece Michelle Kowalski and her husband Kevin of Oxford. He will also be greatly missed by his closest friends, including Billy Hatstat, Mark Carlson, and Mark Oczkowski.
