Obituary: Joseph S. Kapusta

Joseph S. Kapusta dies at the age of 64.

Joseph S. Kapusta, of Oxford, died on Sunday, January 14, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.

Kapusta was the beloved husband of 44 years to Valerie (Tabaka) Kapusta. He was born in Derby on September 16, 1947, son of the late Joseph M. and Genevieve (Grabowski) Kapusta.

He was a retired Lithographer from Schwak, Inc. in Stamford. As a member of the Graphic Communications Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, he had served as the Union Steward while at Schwak. His hobbies included spending time by the ocean, skiing, golf, but mostly spending time with his twin grandchildren, Ava Grace and John Joseph Rossi.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Stacey Kapusta of Oxford, and Kimberly Rossi and her husband Massimo of Newtown; a brother, Eugene Kapusta, sisters, Diane Laskowski, Mary Anne Scaife, and Debra Teodosio; also several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday January 23 in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd., Oxford at 10 am. Interment will be private.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to St. Mary’s Hospital, Vitas Hospice, 56 Franklin St., Waterbury, CT 06706, or to the Agency on Aging of South Central CT, (MFP Program), 1 Long Wharf Dr., New Haven, CT 06511.
