Obituary: Kevin M. Blake, 60, of Oxford

Kevin M. Blake, age 60 of Oxford, entered into eternal rest on Dec. 1, 2011 at Masonicare Healthcare Center in Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Hayden) Blake.

Kevin was born in Derby on October 16, 1951, son of Georgia (Hallaman) Blake and the late Robert Blake, Sr. He was employed as a salesman by both the former Seymour and Stevenson Lumber Companies. Kevin was a proud member of the Milford Elks, loved his motorcycle and enjoyed fishing, golfing, woodworking and drawing.

Kevin is the beloved father of Jason Blake, Jessica Metz and her husband Anthony; and the loving brother of Robert Blake, Jr., George Blake, Kathleen Tilki, Mary Brown, and Lois Cacchillo. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2 – 6 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby. A funeral service with Holy Communion will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home with Pastor Linda Kraft officiating.
