Mrs. Maria Weller-Mutter, age 73, beloved wife of Spencer B. Mutter of Derby, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 25, 1938 in Derby and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Hummel) Weller. Marie was a school bus driver for Valley Transportation and then worked for many years for the State of CT, including Naugatuck Valley Community Technical School and the Department of Motor Vehicle. She enjoyed spending time with family and her trips to the casino.
In addition to her husband, Maria leaves seven devoted children, Charlie Laskowski and his companion, Darla Staley of Naugatuck, Peter Laskowski and his companion, Colleen Burg of Eutawville, SC, Julianne Langerud and her husband Steven L. of Jacksonville, FL, James Laskowski and his wife Lea of Huntington Beach, CA, Nancy Chowanec and her husband, Robert of Seymour, Maria Laskowski of Ansonia and Mardel Stochmal and her husband, James of Derby. She also leaves her six grandchildren, Shannon, Rachel, Brandon, Nicole, Kathleen and Lucas, her seven great grandchildren, her brother, Frederick Weller of Oxford and her sister, Sharon McEvoy and her husband, William of Oxford.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Dec. 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment to follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
