Obituary: Patrick J. "PJ" Lahaza, 26, of Oxford

Patrick J. “PJ” Lahaza, age 26, of Oxford entered into rest on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He is the cherished son of Patrick C. and Ann S. (Falcioni) Lahaza. PJ was born in Derby on May 2, 1989, and lived in Oxford his whole life.

He graduated from Masuk HS, Class of ‘07, and attended Lincoln Technical Institute. He was a certified auto mechanic. He loved music and played the guitar and the ukulele. He was the best breakfast maker in the family, and loved his bacon. Most of all PJ loved being with his family, especially his many nieces and nephews.

He leaves four brothers, Keith, Todd, and David Vidic, and Darric Lahaza (Caitlan), a sister, Megan Lahaza (Doyle McLean), his nieces and nephews Summer (Paul Cipriano), Keith (Sarah Woytach), Kaylee, Ashlynn, and Corinne Vidic, Mitchell and Mila Lahaza, and Ave McLean, and “like a brother” Adam Moore.

Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, on Tuesday from 3 to 7 PM. On Wednesday his procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Derby at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.
