Obituary: Toby Dylan Leddy, 36, of Oxford

He was a graduate of Pomperaug High School in Southbury and was a past volunteer for the Southbury Ambulance Explorer Post.

Oxford - Toby Dylan Leddy, 36, of Oxford, Connecticut, died while surrounded by family on October 19th, 2016, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born December 9, 1979, in New Haven, Connecticut.

Toby is survived by daughter Reanna Leddy and son Nicholas Leddy, mother Debra Leddy, Geralyn Hoyt, aunts and uncles Fran and Jack Brandt and Elaine and John Barna, and his cousins, Jamie Brandt, Jay Brandt, Corey Brandt, Elizabeth Brandt-Eckert, and Sean Barna, and their families. He is preceded in death by grandparents James and Margaret Leddy, and cousin Kyle Barna.

Toby loved the outdoors, quads, dirt bikes, hunting, fishing, animals, collecting guns and knives. He loved playing outside with his children and enjoyed working with his hands and, like his grandfather, Jim, particularly enjoyed woodwork.

He was a graduate of Pomperaug High School in Southbury and was a past volunteer for the Southbury Ambulance Explorer Post.

Calling hours will be held on Monday October 24, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main St. South, Southbury. Burial will be private.
