Oxford – William “Bill” Roper, 82, of Oxford Greens, died Monday, June 25 at the Lutheran Home in Southbury, CT. He was the husband of Regina (Pesce) Roper.

Bill was born June 14, 1936 in Manhattan, NY, son of the late Frank and Rose (Hall) Roper. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict.

Besides his devoted wife of 59 years, he leaves his three sons: William Roper and his wife, Jenny, Kenneth Roper and his wife, Debra, and Andrew Roper; one sister, Frances Spylczyn, and her husband, Mark; eight loving grandchildren: Kenneth Roper, Kristen Thompson and her husband Billy, Mathew Roper, Kelly Roper, Olivia Morrison, David Roper, Jeremy Morrison and Alexander Roper; and one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Thompson.
