This summer the town decided against spending $8,000 for summer help for the Public Works Department.
First Selectman George Temple said he doesn’t think the fields were as well maintained, according to selectmen meeting minutes.

Temple said the left side of a field is overgrown with weeds, and that landscaping was undertaken at Lily Park and no one watered the trees that were planted there.
“We need someone to do this,” Temple said, according to meeting minutes.
