Oxford Announces Mammogram Van Service

Mammography or mammogram is a type of imaging that uses low-dose X-ray to examine breast tissue. Screening mammography is recommended each year to examine breast tissue and check for breast abnormalities.

Requirements for participants:

• Age 40 or over and not have had mammography within 12 months
• Must not be pregnant or have nursed within the last 6 months
• No known breast problem
• No personal history of breast cancer
• No breast implants

What to bring:

• Insurance card*
• Physician name, address, and telephone number
• Prior mammograms if not received at a Yale New Haven Health facility
