Oxford Baseball Wins in Extra Innings

Kyle Chudoba pitched nine innings, striking out six, and led Oxford to a 2-1 win over East Granby in 11 innings Wednesday at Oxford High School.

The Wolverines advanced in the first round of the Class M state tournament game after Dale Keller scored the winning run in the bottom of the 11th on a wild pitch.

James Michaud had two hits, including an RBI double for Oxford. Kevin Loschiavo had two hits, a sacrifice bunt and scored a run.

Steve Mahoney pitched the ninth, tenth and eleventh innings for Oxford and got the win. 

For East Granby, Noah Fersch had an RBI single. Nick Fersch had a double and a run scored.
