"We are an organic, family run, cut-flower farm located on Christian Street (Oxford). Our mission is to bring beauty and joy to our community by providing designer and traditional farm fresh flowers through the utilization of sustainable agriculture."
We asked Sarah to explain a little about what makes a cut flower farm special, and to share her vision.

"We're preparing several garden beds in the field to accommodate over an acre and a half solely to "U-Pick" events. It's a fabulous experience to spend time amongst the flowers while creating a one of a kind bouquet!"
We asked when Oxford Blooms Flower Farm will open start taking reservations and when they will be open for business
"Mother nature will determine our opening U-Pick date however, we're hopeful to start taking reservations soon for mid to late June (through September). There are several (U-Pick) area's on the property including, a beginner's garden where children can interact with nature, and build their own bouquets, an edible flower and herb garden and of course the traditional fields from everything from dahlia's to sunflowers (think swoon worthy instagram photo op's galore!). "
We asked Oxford Blooms to be part of our Education Zone, and share advice on the kinds of flowers one should plant if they want to attract birds, bees, butterflies and fairies! They agreed, and we couldnt be happier. We asked for a sneak preview, and Sarah shared the following:
"We will be talking about one of our favorite flowers, MILKWEED! Monarch butterflies depend on different varieties here in Connecticut for both nectar and egg laying".
This is just one of the many things you can learn at the upcoming Oxford Spring Fair in the Education Zone! We hope the community will come out to meet Sarah and welcome Oxford Blooms to the community!
The Oxford Spring Fair will be hosted annually the first Saturday of May (Saturday May 4, 2024) from 10am - 2pm at the Oxford Town Hall, 486 Oxford Rd. Oxford, CT 06478
