Oxford Budget Referendum Results 2019
Nearly 1,200 Oxford residents voted on Thursday.
OXFORD, CT — By a vote of 614 to 581 the town's municipal budget was approved and by a tally of 845 to 347 the Board of Education's budget was approved for the 2019-20 fiscal year, the Connecticut Post reports.
Additionally, residents approved $750,000 for road projects. The tax rate is increasing by almost 1 mill and the average taxpayer will pay an additional $158 next year, the Connecticut Post reports. The total budget is just under $80 million.
