- The Oxford Board of Selectmen voted on several requests recently related to funding for the middle school. The selectmen declined to approve a request for $8,000 for furnishings at the middle school with regard to special education. Officials, according to meeting minutes, felt this was something that should come from the schools operational budget as opposed to bonding it. The selectmen did approve up to $16,500 for musical instruments at the middle school. Some musical instruments were either old or needed to be replaced, officials said, via meeting minutes. The selectmen also approved up to $42,000 for equipment for the middle school to help with snow removal. Also, up to $120,000 was approved for the middle school to help with storage of athletic equipment. A storage area will be built right off the gym area.
- Peggy Ann Kuss. Peggy was a member of the Christ Church in Quaker Farms, where she served on the alter committee, according to her obituary in the Republican-American. (Waterbury Republican American)
