Oxford Fire Department Battled Serious Car Fire

OXFORD, CT — The Oxford Fire Department battled a vehicle fire early Thursday.

Oxford Fire Rescue said on Facebook that at midnight fire crews responded to a vehicle fire in the driveway, 10 feet from the residence.

Units arrived to find a well involved car on fire and upgraded the response to a working fire due to smoke conditions inside the residence from the fire, Oxford Fire Rescue said.

"Great Job by all," the Fire Department said.
