Oxford Fire Department Rescues 1 Dog, 3 Cats in Fire: UPDATE
The Fire Department was very busy on Wednesday battling a fire on Hawley Road.

Oxford Fire Department was dispatched at 10:00 AM (Wednesday) for reported structure fire on Hawley Road. Car 1 on scene confirming a working fire in a 2 1/2 wood with heavy fire from the first floor extending to the second floor attic.
Crew made interior attack, one dog and 3 cats were rescue from the house. Car 1 started the tanker task force for mutual aid tankers from Southbury, Seymour, Beacon Falls, Stevenson and one engine from Middlebury Fire Departments.

OAA set up rehab and the OFD Jr Corp was on site to help out with outside duties. While on standby in Oxford Seymour and Monroe handled a motor vehicle accident on Peach Farm Road.
Thank you to Ladies Aux for the cold refreshments and sandwiches. Great job by all OFD,OFD Jr Corp and mutual depts working on scene and covering the town.
