Oxford Fire Department Responds To Fire, Lighting Strike

OXFORD, CT — The Oxford Fire Department was extremely busy on Tuesday as the winds picked up. Oxford Fire-Rescue on Facebook said they have responded to three calls including: wires/tree on Sheldon Road, second call on Litchfield Turnpike for a bedroom fire which is now under control. The third call was for a lighting strike to a house with smoke odor on Coppermine Road.

"Please be careful as the weather is changing and the wind as picked up," the Fire Department said.
