Oxford Garden Club To Talk Bees

The Oxford Garden Club will meet on Tuesday, August 26th at the Oxford Town Hall at 7:00 p.m..

Rollin Hannon of Southbury will present a program on bees and how they fit into our lives. The life cycle of worker bees and basic bee genetics will be covered.

Mr. Hannon attended Nonewaug High School where he was first introduced to raising bees. He attended Paul Smith college in New York and received an associate degree in Tree Management and Forestry.

He also attended Cornell and received a bachelor degree. He still does pollination and honey and plans to bring some to the meeting.for sale. In September a program on contamination of food by Ecoli is planned.
