Oxford High School Students Making a Difference: Report

The students have been working on a project, which is designed to help others in need.

OXFORD, CT — Oxford High School sophomores Erin Cote and Laura Congiu are truly making a difference in peoples lives by their acts of kindness. The students raised $725 and donated the money to the Spooner House in Shelton, which helps needy families have access to food, the Republican-American reports.

The project was part of a school assignment. A food drive at Great Oak Middle School is also being planned.

Spooner House was selected because Christ Church Quaker Farms in Oxford donates food there and one of the student's attends that church. The students are continuing to raise money and collect food supplies even after their project has been completed.
